There are some rain showers that are trying to hang on down to the southwest of Lubbock. They will not be lasting too much longer, as dry air is overtaking them. They are pulling in cloud cover for most of the area so far this morning. This afternoon, we will watch as passing clouds make their way through west Texas. Skies will be mostly sunny, as Lubbock will see a high temperature of 79°. The wind is going to be at 15-20 mph this afternoon.
Expect a warm start to your Saturday, as we get partly cloudy skies in the region. The low will only drop down to 60° in Lubbock. That will set up for a warm and windy Saturday afternoon. We’re still going to see mostly sunny skies. However, south-southwest wind is going to bring in warmer air, for just one day. Lubbock will see a high temperature of 82°. The wind is going to be at 15-20 mph, which will cause issues for kickers at the game tomorrow.
