Once again, skies are clear to begin the day. We are not looking at as cold of an air mass on this Thursday morning as we saw on Wednesday. Temperatures are down into the low and mid 50s to the east and upper 40s northwest. Today will be a split day as a cold front comes in this evening. Lubbock will see sunny skies, with a high of 81°. The wind is going to be at 15-20 mph today, with it sticking around 30 mph after 5:00 pm. A cold front will move in after 5:00, which will get us back into the 50s by 9:00 pm.
The cold front will sweep through by very early Friday morning. The weather will be quite different tomorrow. There will be increasing clouds in the morning, so partly sunny in the afternoon. The wind will be at 15-20 mph from the north all day long. So, with that, we will only make it up to a high temperature of 53°. It will feel more like 40° with the wind blowing. Bundle up for high school football games tomorrow.
