The cloudy skies we saw on Wednesday will stick around for today, as well. We’re starting the day with cloudy and muggy weather. The showers we saw in the area yesterday evening are gone. The clouds will hold the temperature spread to a minimum this afternoon. Lubbock is going to see a high temperature of 80°. There will be isolated showers/storms north of Lubbock today at 10%. The main focus area will be Curry, Parmer, Castro, Bailey and Lamb Counties.
We’re going to start Friday with cloudy skies and 10-15 mph wind. However, as we move through the morning and in to the afternoon, skies will clear and will become mostly sunny. The day will stay dry, as we make it to a high temperature of 86°. That is well above the average of 78°. From 11:00 pm Friday-3:00 am Saturday, we’ll see isolated storms moving through the northern Rolling Plains. The wind will gust to 40 mph across the area as a cold front sweeps on in.
