That high pressure that has taken its time moving from the Four Corners to northern New Mexico is still influencing our weather. It will keep things sunny and dry this afternoon. We’re actually going to see high temperatures climbing up higher than they were on Thursday. We’re going to see light wind, with a high temperature of 88° in Lubbock.
Tomorrow is the start of the college football season for Texas Tech. Unfortunately, it will be the warmest day that we have seen since August 22. There will continue to be sunny skies and light wind. However, we’ll see a high of 91°. So, be sure to have plenty of water and to use your sunscreen. The game will be ongoing during the hottest part of the day. Be safe out there!
