We’re waking up to clear skies and light wind. So, we’re seeing how low temperatures will go to the northwest. It’s already down to 50° at Muleshoe, which got into the 40s yesterday morning. So, bundle up in Parmer, Bailey, Castro and Lamb Counties this morning. The afternoon is going to see sunny skies and warmer air. So, highs will be climbing higher today, as Lubbock will get to 90°.
There will be passing cumulus clouds across west Texas tomorrow, giving us a few breaks from the sunshine. However, with a ridge of high pressure in place at the upper levels, the wind will stay from the south, getting temperatures higher than they have been lately. Expect a high temperature in Lubbock of 93°. The wind is going to be 5-10 mph, so it will feel more like 97° in Lubbock.
