There are some leftover clouds moving into the area this morning from the west. They will continue to break apart as they move to the east throughout the early morning. The rest of the day will be mostly sunny, so some thin clouds will return. Afternoon highs will be back into the mid 90s, with upper 90s in the Rolling Plains. Lubbock will reach a high of 94°.
One of the warmest days of the week is going to be tomorrow. The ridge of high pressure is going to sit right over top of west Texas. So, expect sunny skies and no clouds to help us out. Wind will also stay light, which will make it feel warmer than it actually is. The morning low will only reach 66°. The afternoon high in Lubbock is going to hit 97°. There will be some spots in the Rolling Plains that reach highs between 100°-103°. So, stay safe out in the high heat.
