We’re seeing the clouds exiting the region behind the showers and thunderstorms that impacted the South and Rolling Plains yesterday. The storms moved in pretty quickly and dropped a lot of rain for areas east and northeast of Lubbock. Today will see mostly sunny skies, with isolated storms west of Lubbock at 10%. We’re going to make it to a high temperature of 93°.

There will be partly cloudy skies overnight, which means warmer air will be trapped at the surface. So, lows will only make it into the mid 60s. The rest of the day is going to see sunny skies, 10-15 mph and warmer air. We’ll stay above average on Tuesday, thanks to a quiet weather pattern. Expect Lubbock to see a high temperature of 95°.
