Skies are just seeing leftover passing clouds from the few storms that managed to form yesterday. A dry line will get going this afternoon. It will move east of Lubbock, east of I-27 and U.S. 87 early in the afternoon hours. So, behind that dry line, skies will be sunny and the air will be warm and dry. Ahead of it, things wills till be warm, but we’ll see isolated storms at less than 10%. The focus will be east of Floydada and Crosbyton. Any storm could have damaging wind. The high in Lubbock will reach 95°.
For Wednesday, we’re going to stay dry in Lubbock, with wind at 10-15 mph. There will be a weak dry line tomorrow and very small probability of seeing an isolated storm in the Rolling Plains. Expect more sunshine and even warmer air. Lubbock is going to make it up to a high temperature of 96°. The air will be dry for most, but since the wind is from the southwest, we’ll get a hint of moisture from the Pacific.
