The rain certainly came on Monday, as Lubbock ended up with .94″. We’re still barely in a deficit for the month, but that will change by today. More showers and storms will be headed our way throughout the day. There will be a break this afternoon, for Lubbock, before more rain enters this evening and overnight. With the cloudy skies and rain, highs will be well below average. Lubbock will only make it to a high temperature of 65°.
Overnight, we’re going to see more of a scattered variety of the showers and storms. More showers rather than thunderstorms. There will be heavy rain at times tonight. We’ll watch as the low drops down to 57° in Lubbock. By the afternoon on Wednesday, the clouds will be dominating the skies as showers continue to roll through. Once again, expect pockets of heavier rain at times. Watch for street flooding! We’ll make it to a high temperature of 64°.
