The rain showers that we saw throughout the day on Thursday have since moved on to the north. So, this morning is just seeing cloudy skies, with some drizzle and fog. Be extra careful on the morning commute, there could be dense fog in some locations. The roads are still wet, as well. The rest of your Friday will see cloudy skies, cool air and isolated showers at 20%. Take rain gear to high school football games tonight. Lubbock will only see a high temperature of 64°.
Tomorrow is going to remain cloudy and cool. The system that has brought us the rain and cooler air this week will begin to break down and exit the region on Saturday. We will still see isolated thunderstorms in the area at 10%. Being cautious, I’d say watch for storms as you go to the Oklahoma State vs Texas Tech game tomorrow night. The storms should be gone, but just to be safe, have a poncho. We’ll see a high of 69°, with 65° at kickoff at 7:00 pm.
