There are clouds leftover over from light rain showers in eastern New Mexico. They’re moving through the northwestern counties. So, things are not as cool up in Parmer and Bailey Counties. The air is too dry to see any rain in west Texas today, so those showers could not hang on. This afternoon is going to continue to see sunny skies, with wind at 10-15 mph. Lubbock will see a high temperature of 85°.

Saturday morning will see clear skies, light wind and a cool start. We’re going to drop back down to 58°, with mid 50s expected in the northwestern counties. The rest of the day Saturday will be looking very similar to the last few. High pressure is going to keep things sunny and dry. Expect to see a high of 84° here in Lubbock, with wind at 5-10 mph.
