We are awaiting a cold front, which is moving in to the northern counties this evening. It is packing much colder air and gusty wind. The temperatures have already dropped into the upper 30s in Parmer County. We’ll see the front pass through Lubbock, with our readings dropping into the low 40s. So, if you’re headed out this evening, have your jacket! It will be much colder!

We actually hit a high temperature of 70° today! That is certainly short lived, with the cold front coming on in. Winter began at 10:28 this morning and we will be feeling it by tomorrow. We’ll see wind at 10-15 mph overnight tonight and through the day tomorrow. Clouds will stay with us tonight as we drop down to 26°. It will feel more like the teens as you get the kids out to school in the morning.
