The winds returned to West Texas this morning hurling objects through the air, blowing dust up into the sky, and creating power outages across the area. Fortunately, if you have plans tonight, the winds look to die down by the evening eventually becoming much calmer overnight. We’ll keep the clear conditions tonight which will help for temperatures to plummet into the 20s. If you’re heading out for morning services tomorrow you’ll want to grab a jacket. Temperatures will feel like the teens to start off the morning but will quickly rise into the 60s by the afternoon.

We’ll keep the clear conditions tomorrow and all throughout the week. Unfortunately, we’re not tracking any rain in the forecast. The bigger story will be the warm up by the beginning of the workweek and lasting throughout the entire week. High temperatures all week look to hover in the upper 60s to lower 70s across the South Plains. However, by next weekend temperatures look to drop back into the 50s.
