Today was a beautiful day, and if you’re looking for this weather to stick around you’re in luck. Temperatures tonight will only drop into the mid 40s across much of the South Plains with clear conditions lasting throughout the night. We’ll keep the clear conditions into tomorrow as well with high temperatures reaching the mid 70s. It’ll be a great day to barbecue and grill for the the big game tomorrow night, but you” want to keep an eye on your grill as winds will be out of the west southwest at 10-20 mph. You may want to keep a bucket of water or a fire extinguisher close by as well.

The warm weather will continue throughout the beginning of the workweek with high temperatures still in the 70s. However, some changes are in store. We’re tracking a cool down beginning by mid week next week and the possibility for some precipitation. By Wednesday, high temperatures will fall into the upper 60s with rain beginning during the late evening hours. More rain is expected on Thursday with high temperatures struggling to reach the 60s, and the chance for wintry precipitation makes a return to the South Plains on Friday.
