Today was not the best start to the weekend if you like the warm weather. It was a very chilly day with temperatures in the 30s but feeling more like the 20s outside. The cloudy conditions that we saw today will continue into the evening and overnight hours tonight with lows reaching the lower 30s. We’ll keep the overcast conditions tomorrow as well with highs reaching the upper 50s to lower 60s across the South Plains. While we stay cloudy tomorrow, there is a slight chance for an isolated shower possible during the day, however, most of us will stay dry.

We’ll get a break in clouds by the beginning of the workweek, with the potential for a few isolated showers across the region during the afternoon. Windy conditions will also return on Monday with winds out of the west sustained from 25-35 mph and gusting up to 45 mph. After Monday, things look to calm down and warm up. By Tuesday, sunshine will dominate and highs will be back up into the mid 60s and we’ll get warmer from there. Towards the end of the week temperatures will reach the low to mid 70s before another cold front drops our temperatures back into the 50s by the weekend.
