Short Term Forecast:
After being spoiled with highs in the 70s the last couple of days, colder weather has returns to the South Plains and Rolling Plains on this Friday. I’ll be mostly cloudy today, breezy and colder with highs in upper 30s and lower 40s. There could be a few snow flurries this afternoon as an upper level system passes over the area. Looks for decreasing clouds this evening with mostly clear conditions overnight. Lows will fall into the lower 20s. It’ll be mostly sunny and warmer on Saturday with highs back in the lower 60s
Extended Forecast:
After a quick warm-up on Saturday, a cold front Saturday night will cool us back down into the upper 30s and lower 40s on Sunday for Christmas Eve. Christmas Day on Monday will be nice and mild, with highs back into the upper 50s. Another cold front will move into the area Monday night, dropping high back into the 40s on Tuesday. Upper 40s and low 50s are expected on Wednesday with lower 50s on Thursday. Models are showing a slight chance of rain showers by Thursday.
