This morning was off to a chilly start but the afternoon warmed up quite nicely. Temperatures today topped out in the mid 50s. Temperatures tomorrow look to get even nicer with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Wall to wall sunshine is expected throughout the daytime tomorrow making it a good day to get outside. Changes will be expected by the beginning of the workweek and a cold front pushes through the South Plains by the morning hours. This cold front will bring an increase in cloud cover and will help to drop our high temperatures in the mid 40s. Unfortunately, this cold front will not bring any rain into the forecast. In fact, we look to stay dry for the next several days.

The bigger story will be the 15-20 degree drop in temperatures and then the slow, gradual warm up throughout the week. We’ll look to stay near average all week with dry conditions.

Looking ahead to the beginning of February, some changes might be possible. The precipitation outlook 8-14 days out looks to be above average, meaning there is a chance we could see some precipitation during this time period.
