Happy Father’s Day weekend! If you have any outdoor activities planned for this weekend you may want to move them indoors. Rain will enter the region tonight and will stick with us during the morning hours on Sunday. Father’s Day looks to be wet during the morning hours with a few showers that could last throughout the day on Sunday. Most of the rain on Father’s day looks to be out of the area by the evening hours so make sure to have a back up plan if your Father’s Day plans are outdoors. We’ll get a break from the widespread rain on Monday with a chance of an isolated storm but most of the area is expected to stay dry. Temperatures will also remain on the cooler side as moisture from what was Tropical Depression Bud is being brought into the region. Overcast skies are expected throughout much of the forecast which will help keep our temperatures on the cooler side. Highs this week are only expected to get up into the upper 80s this week which is a much needed break from the heat we’ve been having for the past several days. We are also watching for the potential for more rain in the forecast as a tropical disturbance is expected to move through the Texas coast with some of it’s outer bands reaching us. Stick with KLBK for any new information on this upcoming rain. Have a great weekend and happy Father’s Day!
