It was an overcast day for all of the South Plains today with some areas even seeing some light showers. We’ll continue to get some scattered showers later on this evening and continuing into the overnight hours. Rain will stick around as you leave for work tomorrow morning and you certainly want to bring an umbrella before you head out the door. Scattered rain showers will continue throughout the day and into the evening hours. Rain looks to become more widespread on Tuesday and continues into early Wednesday morning. We’ll have to watch for strong to severe storms Tuesday evening into early Wednesday morning. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main concern during this time.
Rain looks to be out of the region by Wednesday afternoon leaving us with dry, clear, and windy conditions. Winds will be out of the west southwest sustained 35 to 40 mph with winds gusting as high as 55 mph. Winds look to somewhat calm down by Thursday leaving behind partly sunny conditions.
Temperatures look to be up and down throughout the week ranging anywhere from the 50s to the 60s.
