Strong to severe storms are expected to develop this evening and continue into the later evening hours tonight. Sufficient moisture coupled with the dry line out in New Mexico will help to spark off some storms this evening. Some of these storms could be strong to severe as much of the central and western South Plains is in a slight risk for severe weather. Large hail and damaging winds are the main threats, however, an isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out.
Most of these storms look to be out by the overnight hours tonight leaving behind mostly clear conditions. Tomorrow will start off with a mix of sun and clouds. Just like today, we have another chance for strong to severe storms to develop during the evening hours once again. This will be the common trend over the next several days as we have storm chances almost every day next week with some of these storms likely to be severe.
Temperatures all week look to hover in the 80s until about Thursday when temperatures crash into the 60s and 70s.
