The clouds will be sticking around through the day, mixing with the sunshine. That will help to hold temperatures in the 80s for highs, for at least one more day. The showers that are off the Caprock will dissipate this morning and we’ll get dry air this afternoon. Expect to see a high temperature of 87° in Lubbock today. Tomorrow will see mostly sunny skies, so the typical August warmth will be returning. Highs will climb up into the low 90s all across the region. So, be ready for a warmer day on Tuesday.
