The last day to mention isolated storms in the forecast will be on Friday. That coverage will stay at 10% and nearly all of us will stay dry. The good news is that we will stay below average for the high, as temperatures drop from the previous days. Lubbock will hit a high of 91°. The wind will stay at 5-10 mph. We’ll be mostly sunny and it should be a good day to get outside, since the storms will be spotty, at best.

Moving into the weekend, we’ll enter a dry pattern, but highs won’t be very high at all. The rain that we have seen over the last several weeks will help us stay in two digits for highs. In fact, Saturday will see us get right to the average for this time of year. Lubbock is going to see a high temperature of 92°, with light wind and more sunshine. So, enjoy the day, but have that sunscreen ready to go.
