We’re going to round out the week with a better opportunity for more of us to see showers and thunderstorms. Clouds will increase across the area on Friday, with morning lows staying in the mid 60s. Lubbock will only reach a high of 82°, which will be nice to see. A storm system is going to bring in more thunderstorms in the area at 30%. I am going to watch this, because that percentage may have to increase.
As we begin the weekend, lows will drop down into the mid 60s once more, with Lubbock starting the day at 65°. We’re going to see partly sunny skies during the day, which means there will be more sun peeking through then on Friday. I can’t rule out leftover storms in the area. But coverage will only be at 10%, so expect most of us to remain dry during the day. Lubbock will see a high temperature of 83°.
