The second cold front of the week is going to move into the area by Thursday morning. The morning will actually start off above freezing, at 33°. However, the afternoon will see cooler air and lower high temperatures. The wind will increase to 10-15 mph out of the north behind the front. The only thing consistent is the sunny skies we’ll see. The high temperature in Lubbock is going to reach 56°. The wind will make it feel more like the low 50s.
Low temperatures will dip below freezing once again on Friday morning. Bundle up as we start the day at 30°. Wind is going to increase to 15-20 mph on Friday afternoon. It is going to stay sunny and unfortunately dry, with a high temperature of 61°. So long as we’re in this La Nina pattern, it will be hard to see welcome rain. It’s not impossible, just very difficult. So, the surplus will drop each day.
