We’ll move into the weekend with low temperatures not as low as we’ve seen this week. We’ll begin Saturday at 30° in Lubbock, with light wind. The rest of the day will see sunny skies and wind picking up to 15-20 mph in the afternoon. High temperatures are also going to pick up and will be above average. Lubbock will make it up to a high of 61°. However, the wind will make it feel more like the low 50s.
A stronger cold front will affect the weather on Sunday. After it passes, wind will shift to the north at 10-15 mph, bringing in colder and dry air. The morning will begin at 34°, which really isn’t too bad. The afternoon is going to see mostly sunny skies and cooler air. The high will only make it to 54°. That wind will make it feel more like the upper 40s. So, you wills till need to dress warm when you head out on Sunday.
