We’re going to see wind increasing by Friday, but that will help to bring in warmer air. So, after a day where we get wintry weather today, we’re going to turn to above average warmth by the end of the week. The morning will begin with a low of 33°. That wind is going to increase to 10-15 mph out of the south. So, that south wind is going to help get the high temperature up to 67° for Lubbock, with low 70s to the southeast.
We’ll move into the weekend and see things pretty similar on Saturday. The morning low will be 36°, which is still cold. But, that’s not as cold as it could be. The afternoon will get plenty of sunshine and blue skies. The wind will be the big issue, as it will come in from the west. Sustained wind will be at 25-30 mph, with gusts to 50 mph at times. Watch for more blowing dust and dirt in the air Saturday afternoon. The high will reach 62° here in Lubbock.
