The weekend weather is going to turn brown…blowing dust and dirt will be an issue, especially on Saturday. Wind will be sustained at 25-35 mph, with gusts easily reaching 50 mph. So, be careful driving on the roads with the higher speed limits. Otherwise, we’ll see sunny skies, with the brown tint to the sky. Lubbock will see a high near average, as we make it to 62°.
Sunday’s wind will not be as bad as Saturday, but it will still be sustained at 10-20 mph, with gusts to 35 mph. So, outdoor plans this weekend will not be very good. We’ll start Sunday at 25°, so with the wind it will feel very cold early in the morning. The afternoon will see a high temperature reach 64°. So we stay above average all weekend, but that wind will really put a damper on anything you want to do outside.
