As we move into Thursday, the air will remain cold in the morning, so keep the heavy jackets around. We’ll begin the day at 25°. The wind is only going to increase, so things will feel very cold in the morning hours. Wind chill values will drop down to the low teens for most. The afternoon is going to have sustained wind at 10-20 mph, gusting to 30 mph at times. We’ll keep the skies sunny, with a high temperature of 67°.
We’ll finally see warmer air, if you can call it that, Friday morning. The day is going to start with a low temperature of 32°. The west Texas wind is going to be sustained at 10-15 mph, so that will feel more like the low 20s. So, don’t be fooled. The afternoon will see the wind stay at 10-15 mph from the south-southeast. Skies remain sunny and the air very dry. Lubbock is looking to see a high temperature of 68°.
