More cold air will be arriving as we move into the weekend. Saturday morning will be very similar to Friday morning. Another cold front will be passing through Friday night. So, Lubbock will start the weekend off with a low temperature of 24°. Expect a chilly afternoon, under mostly sunny skies. The wind is going to be sustained at 10-15 mph, but we’ll only get a high temperature of 42°. It will feel more like the low 30s out there.
Sunday morning will get another blast of Arctic air. The low is going to plunge down to 22°. With light wind, it will still feel very cold out there. Skies will return to bright blue and sunny in the afternoon, with the wind staying at 5-10 mph. So, the high temperature is going to make it to 53°. That is actually close to the average high for this time of year. So, it will be a pretty nice day to get outside, before it gets cold again next week.
