We’ll see another cold start to Saturday, as clear skies and light wind overtake the region. Lubbock is going to bottom out at 24°. I would not be surprised to see lows between 15°-19° off to the west and northwest. It’ll be another layer day as we will get mostly sunny skies Saturday afternoon. The sunshine and south wind at 5-10 mph will help to get the high above average again. Lubbock will climb up to a high of 59°.
The warmest day of the weekend is going to be on Sunday. The morning low will only drop down to 37°. That is still cold, but it will certainly not feel as cold as what we had earlier in the week and year. Wind will be the big story on Sunday. Our sustained wind is going to be at 15-25 mph, with gusts to 35 mph in the afternoon. Skies will be mostly sunny, with warmer air. Lubbock’s high is going to make it to 64°.
