KLBK Midday Web Forecast January 8, 2018

The wind will stay around 10 mph overnight, into Wednesday morning. So, things will stay above average by the morning. In fact, the low will only drop to 43°. Wind will be the big story and major concern Wednesday afternoon. We’re going to see sustained wind at 25-35 mph, with gusts easily reaching 50 mph. It’ll be mostly sunny, with blowing dust and a high temperature climbing to 69°.

A cold front will drop on through the region on Wednesday evening and into Thursday morning. It will not be as cold in the morning, with a low of 35°. However, the wind will be at 15-20 mph, so it’s going to feel more like 22°-25° in the morning hours. We’re going to continue to see mostly sunny skies. The wind will be lower, but still sustained at 20-25 mph, with gusts to 45 mph. It will be colder, with a high temperature only making it to 48°. It’ll feel more like the upper 30s.
