High pressure is going to build in across west Texas, then transition to the Four Corners by the weekend. That is going to keep the skies sunny and the air hot for several days. The wind is going to increase to 10-15 mph by tomorrow and will stay at that sustained speed through early next week. Lubbock will begin to see the triple digit heat by tomorrow and that will stay through Saturday. We’ll see sunny skies and dry air today, with a high temperature of 98°. We’ll reach a high of 101° by tomorrow. So, be sure to stay cool!
