Things will stay warmer as we move through the day on Thursday. It will be very similar to what we will see for tomorrow. The ridge of high pressure will stall over west Texas, keeping the sunshine and warm air. The wind will increase to 10-15 mph, which will actually try to help us out in staying cool. Lubbock will match the high from Wednesday, as we make it up to 96° once more.
We’re looking forward to the weekend, but not so much for the weather conditions on Friday. We need more rainfall to help keep things green and keep things cooler. Well, that will not happen on Friday. The high pressure center will stay put and so will the blue skies. We’ll get another day with Extreme UV Outlook and 10-15 mph wind. Lubbock will see a warmer afternoon, as we make it to a high temperature of 97°.
