The dry conditions with light wind will continue through the day on Friday. The high pressure ridge is going to keep things sunny and quiet as we move into the weekend. So, expect a high of 95° in Lubbock and upper 90s in the Rolling Plains. If you want to get outside on Friday, the only issue we will have is the sun. So, be sure to have the sunscreen and stay safe, because things will feel warmer than they actually are.
Moving in the weekend, the high pressure ridge will still be here, but it will not be as strong as it was during the week. So, we’re still looking at mostly sunny skies and light wind. Highs will remain just above average, as we top out at 94°. We will watch and see if there will be a storm in the area on the weak side of the ridge, but right now things are looking to stay dry. But I will keep an eye on it.
