For Saturday, the wind is going to remain light, with mostly sunny skies. I can’t rule out some showers and storms in the area at 10%. Most will stay dry, but at least someone will get some rain Saturday afternoon. The rest of us will see highs below average, with a high of 91° here in Lubbock. Get out and enjoy the day, but watch for lightning with any storm that rolls in.
We’re going to be looking at another drop in high temperatures as we move into Sunday. Skies will be mostly sunny, with wind at 5-10 mph. I can’t rule out a few storms in the area. But that coverage will barely be at 10%. So, nearly all will stay dry Sunday afternoon. Lubbock will see a high temperature of 89°, which is below average and very nice to see in July.
