This weekend is looking to be very typical for early July. The ridge will weaken slightly, so that will open the door for at least a mention of a shower, or storm Saturday night/Sunday morning. Right now, the coverage would be less than 10%. We’re going to see sunny skies on Saturday afternoon, with a high temperature of 94° in Lubbock. Wind will be staying light, only 5-10 mph.

That low probability for a shower, or storm will continue through Sunday morning. It is not looking great, but worth at least a mention. That’s just something to keep an eye on. Otherwise, we’re going to see mostly sunny skies on Sunday afternoon. So, we’ll get some breaks from the sunshine at times. Highs will be back to average, as Lubbock will make it to 93° in the afternoon. Wind is going to stay light, again, only making it to 5-10 mph.
