By Wednesday, we’re going back to sunny skies. The air will be very warm again, with highs expected to be in the upper 90s. Lubbock will see a high of 98°, with more triple digits off the Caprock. The UV Outlook is staying Extreme this week, thanks to all of the sunshine and very warm, to hot air that we’ll see across the region. The wind will be back to 10-15 mph in the afternoon, so no real relief from this late spring warmth.

Thursday is not going to change much at all. Lubbock will make it to a high temperature of 97°. The Rolling Plains will see highs between 100°-103° in the afternoon. There will be passing clouds, but no real breaks from the very warm air. Wind is going to be sustained at 10-15 mph. So, no breaks from the heat, only the air conditioning that we’ll see indoors.
