Summer begins at 5:07 am on Thursday and we will actually see high temperatures just below average. The disturbance that brought us the isolated storms late on Wednesday night will be moving out of the area to the east. So, we’ll get another shot of dry air across west Texas. Wind is going to stay light, as we remain under mostly sunny skies. The high temperature will be 91°, with the average at 92°.

Expect to see changes in the forecast for the first full day of summer. The wind is one thing that will change. It is going to increase by lunch time to 10-15 mph. That will actually be a good thing with the warmer air in place. The morning is going to begin with a low of 70°. The afternoon is looking to see sunny skies, dry and warm air, with a high temperature reaching 98°.
