High temperatures will begin to drop as we move through the day on Thursday. The morning low is only going to be 74°, with 10-15 mph wind. The afternoon is going to maintain the wind at 10-15 mph, with some higher end gusts to 25 mph. Skies will stay sunny and the air will be dry, with a high of 98°.

Not too much will change as we move into the day Friday. Wind is going to increase to 15-20 mph, with some gusts to 30 mph at times. So, as the temperatures decrease, the wind is going to increase. Lubbock will drop down to a high temperature of 97°, with limited triple digits in the eastern counties. Monsoonal moisture will give us isolated storms over the weekend and lower highs.
