On to the weekend. We’ll actually be looking at good changes for Saturday and Sunday. Morning lows on Saturday will drop to the upper 60s for most locations. With passing cumulus clouds, we’ll finally get minor relief from the high heat. Expect Lubbock to see a mostly sunny day, with a high temperature of 90°. There will be isolated afternoon and evening storms in the area at 10%.
Much of the same for Sunday, although we’ll see a warmer day. Skies are going to remain mostly sunny, with wind at 10-15 mph. We’re going to see a high temperature of 94°, which is just above the average of 93°. There will be, once again, isolated afternoon and evening storms in the area at 10%. So, most are looking to stay dry, but if you’re caught in one of these storms, it’s good to have the umbrella in the car to stay dry.
