Not too much will be changing on Sunday. Lubbock will only start the day at 70°. Talk about mid-June weather. That is really what we are used to seeing this time of year. The afternoon is going to see sunny skies and dry air. The high will make it up to 97°. More triple digits expected off the Caprock on Sunday afternoon, with very high UV Index. So, please be careful out there.

The next work week will start with more warmth and mostly sunny skies. We’ll be seeing the wind sustained at 10-15 mph. Hopefully we can get a few gusts in there to help us feel somewhat cooler. Highs will be staying in the mid 90s for most. The Rolling Plains will see highs from 99°-101° in many locations. We need to make sure the A/C is working for the next several days! Cooler air won’t arrive until next weekend.
