Things will calm down as we move into the day on Wednesday. The dry line will move way to the east, so dry and warm air will be the result. Skies will be sunny with plenty of blue skies. Wind is going to be sustained at 15-25 mph in the afternoon. So, the high will be able to hit 83° in Lubbock. This is closer to average, thanks to a weak disturbance bringing in slightly cooler air.

We’ll stay calm and sunny for the day Thursday. The air will remain dry, the wind will be 10-15 mph. Expect a warmer afternoon. So, if you’re doing anything outdoors, you’ll notice the warmth and all of that sunshine. So, be safe out there with sunscreen and hydration. The high will top out at 88° in Lubbock, with low 90s in the Rolling Plains.
