Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue on Wednesday night and into Thursday. Coverage from midnight-7:00 am will be at 40%, with spots seeing heavy rain and street flooding. After 7:00 am, we’ll see more scattered showers and thunderstorms at 30% during the day. Lows will be in the low 60s, with a high in Lubbock of 80°. Stay safe on the roads, since any storm we see will have heavy rainfall and tons of lightning.
We’ll begin to clear out on Friday, with a mix of clouds and sunshine leftover. Lows will stay in the low 60s, with wind at 10-15 mph all day. There will be leftover storms in the area, generally in the Rolling Plains, at 10%. Otherwise, Lubbock will see partly sunny skies, with a high temperature jumping up to 90°. It will feel warmer with the leftover moisture in the air. So, keep that in mind while spending time outside.
