We’re really going to start to feel the west Texas spring warmth by Sunday. The morning will not be bad, as we will see clear skies and a low of 55°. The wind will stay light on Sunday, only at 5-10 mph. The skies will be clear and sunny, with more dry air in place. Lubbock will hit a higah temperature of 90°. Even though we will not have the wind around, the fire danger will still be high because of the very dry air out there.
AS you go back to work and school on Monday, the low temperature will only drop to 59°. We’ll still have clear skies and light wind, at least in the morning. The wind is going to increase by Monday afternoon. It will be sustained at 10-15 mph form the south. That south wind will be keeping the warm air around west Texas. The high temperature is going to reach 89° here in Lubbock.
