The heat is only going to stick around as we move into the middle of the week. The only thing that will change will be the sunshine. The clouds will clear by early Wednesday morning. So, we’ll get to see another nice sunrise with blue skies in the morning. The low temperature is only going to be 61°. The afternoon will be very warm, with high fire danger. We will see a high of 95°, with wind at 10-15 mph from the south.
There is only going to be a minor drop in highs for the day Thursday. The morning low will actually increase from Wednesday. Lubbock will begin Thursday with a temperature of 64°. The wind will be at 15-20 mph out of the south again. That is why we will continue to see the warm air. That and the high pressure ridge. We’ll see the high reach 93° here in Lubbock, with a very warm day expected for Friday.
