The warm air is only going to continue as we move into the day on Thursday. We are going to see south wind coming in at 15-20 mph. There will be occasional gusts up to 35 mph at times. Skies will be mostly sunny, so there will be a few breaks from the sunshine. If you’re going to be outside, be sure to stay hydrated and have that sunscreen. Lubbock will see a high temperature of 94°. Highs will be in the upper 90s the farther east you live.

The warmest day of the week will be on Friday. We will get sunny skies and 20-25 mph wind. Wind will gust to 40 mph at times. Under this high pressure ridge, Lubbock is going to see a high temperature of 99°. I think the wind will keep us just below 100°. Highs will be in the triple digits in the Rolling Plains, especially out in Paducah, Guthrie and Snyder. So use caution if you will be outside.
