All will be clear as we round out the week on Friday. The wind is going to stay elevated, as it will be sustained at 15-20 mph, with gusts to 30 mph. We will expect to see sunny skies and even hot air returning to the forecast. Lubbock is going to make it up to a high temperature of 100° for the first time in 2018. The wind that we will see is going to blow in warm and dry air, as well as just try to help us out.
Things will only slightly cool down as we move into the weekend. Saturday morning will still see wind at 10-15 mph from the southwest. That southwest wind is going to pump in warm and dry air. So, the low temperature is only going to be 68°. The afternoon is going to be another very warm day, with sunny skies and dry air. The Rolling Plains will see highs over 100°. Lubbock is going to reach a high of 98°.
