The wind is going to hang on as we move closer to the end of the week. Actually, this time of year we typically see the wind staying at 10-15 mph, especially when we see warm air. We’ll certainly be getting the warmth again on Thursday. Skies will be sunny and the air dry, but that same air will be warm enough for Lubbock to hit a high temperature of 71°. The wind and dry air will be the only problem.
We desperately need to see rain fall, but unfortunately, that will not be the case over the next week. The dry air is going to linger on Friday, with wind increasing to 10-20 mph. The air will be warm all around. The morning will only get down to a low of 51°. In the afternoon, skies stay sunny, with a high temperature of 81°. Highs in the Rolling Plains will increase to 85°. When it’s warm this time of year, the wind will certainly blow.
