Expect more cold air by Wednesday morning, which is actually quite normal for Thanksgiving week. We’ll drop down to 33° in Lubbock, with lows in the mid 20s to the west and northwest. The wind will stay at 10-15 mph during the day and the air will remain cool behind Tuesday’s cold front. We’ll see a high temperature of 63°, which is closer to average.
Thanksgiving morning will be a cold start, as we get down into the upper 30s for most locations. Lows will be near freezing to the northwest. Wind on Thanksgiving will actually be light, so only 5-10 mph. The surge of warm air will be returning in the afternoon, as we’ll make it all the way up to 73° under sunny skies. Now, the air will stay dry, so make sure you get out and enjoy the day and walk off all that turkey and stuffing!
