We will feel the cooler air and wind on Sunday, thanks to the overnight cold front. Sustained wind will be at 10-20 mph, with gusts to 30 mph, at times, on Sunday. We’ll only see a high temperature of 63°. A huge difference from what we saw on Saturday. It will feel even cooler, thanks to the west Texas wind. Any showers, or storms that do get going, will be gone by 7:00 am. So, the day will stay dry.
We’re going to be experiencing another cold morning by Monday. So, have the jackets and sweatshirts ready to go! Lows will dip down into the upper 30s for most, with temperatures close to 33°-36° in the north and northwestern counties. The wind will drop to 5-10 mph and skies will be clear. A perfect recipe for a cold start. The afternoon will see sunny skies and light wind. The high temperature will reach 66° here in Lubbock. So, another day that will feel like it should for October.
